Bible
Submitted by lecter on August 18, 2007 - 7:20pm. Bible | Holy Bible | Moral reliability | Spiritual ReliabilityThere are many factors that give the Bible unparalleled moral and spiritual authority. The Old and New Testaments are deeply rooted in a historical and geographical record that is linked to laws, poetry, and predictions that express timeless life-changing wisdom. Even the parts of the Old Testament with parallels in Mesopotamian literature (the creation story, the story of the flood, etc.) are incomparably superior to the pagan versions.1

Did it really take God two weeks on MT. Sinai to carve two stone tablets? No, I am afraid a better explanation would be that Moses spent a day or so looking for the right stones and sat for two weeks chipping away at them, while apparently the rest of the world forgot about Moses' God.
Debunking the Bible Part III - Going to Hell, a Temporary Stay?

As the Bible says, Jesus, and the four horseman. or his white four horses, anyway, Jesus will throw Satan into the Pit of Burning Sulfur. Sounds hot and fumy , well with the ruler of hell destroyed, what will become of all those who have been imprisoned. Are they freed? Do they disintegrate? In fact, according to scripture, all the good people will already have been beamed from their clothes straight to heaven, so why comeback Jesus? To save those in hell, again, right? Or to show off those pretty white horses and shiny new trumpets.

or better said, wonders, if baby Jesus was born in a Manger, (which I guess is the name for the place where the Jews kept livestock animals at night, very muddy and poopy,) then when the Three Wise Men came with their gifts, why didn't Mary and Joseph get a room at the Hilton or something instead of remaining in the poopy smelly manger? I mean to say that if they had GOLD, then the manger was a ridiculous place to remain with a newborn baby. They could have pawned the Frankincense and Myrrh, for a tent or was the at stuff to make the manger smell better? Either way the Gold which was from a King, must have been enough to get a real room somewhere.

Why there is a devil
Submitted by kingskid7 on June 8, 2007 - 11:14am. Bible | devil | erotic writing | God | hell | old testament | ReligionYou would think the devil would get tired of the job he has now. At first, he had it made in heaven. He had a cush job right up there with God in second position next to his throne. Then one day he got to looking at himself and reasoned that why does God have to have the top head hauncho position? Why I deserve the place myself. So, he got together with some angels and said listen we need to take over here and run this place like it should be done. So, he declared (according to Isiaiah 14) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
God is Good
Submitted by kingskid7 on June 2, 2007 - 6:21pm. Bible | blessing | God | ReligionToday, I want to talk about how God is so good to us and how he wants to bless each one of us. First he wants all to come to repentance. He does not want anyone in Hell but for all to be saved. Saved from what you ask? Sin that's what. What is sin you ask. It is simply breaking God's laws. But there's a problem. We just cannot keep those laws and if you want to get to Heaven by your own good deeds, then you would have to keep the whole law perfectly. But this is impossible for anyone at all. He who keeps the whole law and offends in one point is guilty of all. So what is the solution? Jesus is the answer because he took our punishment upon himself when he died on the cross. Then he achieved victory over death by rising from the dead.(no,they did not find the bones of Jesus)
Is there more than 1 sin that is unforgivable?
Submitted by kingskid7 on May 29, 2007 - 4:32am. Bible | crime | forgiveness | Jesus | purging | Religion | sinIn Matthew the 12th chapter, there is 1 sin that cannot be forgiven. That is the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost. Now, in these modern times I ask are there other sins that cannot be forgiven? I am curious about this because I hear so many people say that they will never forgive the person or persons who commits a crime against them.

Bible | Bible Study | christianity | evangelical | exposition | New Testament | Paul | Romans | TheologyAll who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. .... This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares. Romans 2:12, 16.
Most commentators agree that verses 13-15 of this passage are a parenthesis - that is, they are an additional aside to the main content of Paul's argument.
