Rapper Snoop Dogg Has Visa Assessed by Australia

The immigration department has said that it is conduction a character assessment of the rapper Snoop Dogg, which would include his criminal history, in considering whether he will he will be granted a visa to go to Australia for a concert that is scheduled for later this year. Snoop Dogg applied for a visa in July and the immigration department did a preliminary assessment. The department has decided to do a full character assessment of him. The concert is scheduled for October.

Are those lovable Aussie bloggers I used to hang out with on BF and later also on BP still anywhere around? I am talking about the likes of AussieSire/BlogSire and of course lovely Tottie.

In the run-up to my move to Sydney I would have liked to bend their ears about what it's like to live in Oz and what the Australian blogosphere is like compared with other places.

Sydney has the highest population in Australia. It's estimated population is around 4.28 million. That's a lot of people. It was established in 1788. It is a major international tourist area. It is home to the Sydney Opera House. The opera house covers 4.5 acres. The structure is amazing. The power supply it contains could support a town of 25,000 people. It's stunning to look at.

The 3 week long festival is held in February of every year. Supposedly, it attracts over 300,000 people a year. It is the oldest internationals arts festival in Australia. A while back, my best friend moved to Australia. She went and fell for a guy that lives there, went and visited him, stayed in some Sydney Hotels, and married him while she was on vacation!! She got to see all the sights, including the amazing Opera House pictured above. They took a short honeymoon, possibly to some Melbourne Hotels. And after the honeymoon, she went back to her home in Canada to get everything packed, and then returned to Australia!

I certainly have to sympathise with our Aussie cousins across the ditch with the terrible weather they have experienced during the last week or so. Any loss of life is tragic.

In recent years it has been drought and bushfires that Australia and Aussies have had to endure. We here in New Zealand have been extremely pleased that our fire-fighters were able to help out late last year and early this year.
