Well I dont know how many of you follow American Idol, I can say that I have watched it every season it's been on.
For the most part, alot of the contestants are not that great, or they are just like everyone else the pop radio stations play. But every now and again, there is that one contestant that just blows me away. Chris Daughtry was one of those in the past seansons. Not only can they sing, but you can tell that they posess such a talent for the music business as in writing, arranging, and it comes so naturally for them, as if they dont even really have to try.

I want to share with you this service that I finally found to work with internet TV. I had been very frustrated with trying to get TV on my pc and laptop. Most of the softwares I ended up with that even promised 10000 TV channels online were nothing but scams. There are hundreds upon hundreds online TV scams online that advertise for ridiculous number of TV stations.

Stop what you are doing right now and call 18664365706 to vote for David Cook on American Idol. I don't usually vote but oh my goodness, this guy is just incredible! I'd buy his version of Lionel Richie's "Hello," and I've always thought that everything Lionel Richie has done is pretty much crap. He's got a great alt rock voice, but beyond that he's arranging the music and totally doing different stuff every night.

Carly Smithson kicks ass. She looks kind of like Amy Lee, which I like (I could do without the distraction of the sleeve tattoo, but whatever). She sung the crap out of Heart's Crazy on You on Wednesday night's American Idol. She seems nice. So I like her.

American Idol Singers like Philadelphia auditioner Kristy Lee Cook, who back in 2001, was signed to Arista Nashville and repped by LeAnn Rimes' former manager, or Australian import Michael Johns (formerly Michael Lee), who fronted a band called The Rising and was set to release a debut on Maverick Records in 2003 (back when Madonna still ran the label). And there's another hopeful from across the pond, Irish-born Carly Hennessy, who in 1999, signed a six-album deal with MCA Records. She was the focus of a Wall Street Journal article detailing the high risk — and cost — of breaking a new pop artist. In the piece, it was estimated that the label spent around $2.2 million on Hennessy, pairing her up with proven songwriters and producers (like Gregg Alexander, who's worked extensively with Simon Fuller clients the Spice Girls) only to see her debut album sell less than 400 copies.

Kelly Clarkson's New(ish) Album

I'm listening to the new Kelly Clarkson album. It doesn't suck, despite all the hoopla with firing her manager and fighting with Clive Davis. There are lots of fun rock songs and some listenable ballads (the ones that are there have a tendency toward being quirky, which I like). The album also manages to avoid the scourge of the rock album: the mid-tempo rock song. Kelly's songs are all "dance your ass off" or "sing it in the shower." Nothing falls into the category of too-fast-to-couples-dance-but-too-slow-to-dance-alone, which is good. I hate those.

Who really cares about any of this? Sure Antonella Barba is a good-looking girl who took some pictures of her scantily clad and naked with a guy, but what is the big deal?

I have never set my eyes on Aishwarya Rai, but I have seen Sushmita Sen, the Indian woman to roam the world as the most beautiful woman in the world.

I saw her during a film shooting long back. How I wished to be one of the judges of those beauty contests where I can have a closer look at all those beauties.

Do you think I am crazy? Well, the wish was granted but in a different way.

With all this talk about American Idol, someone on this board asked, "What have any of the American Idols done anyway?" Conveniently, my local newspaper, the Tampa Tribune, answered this question with a collection of stats about our Idols. Here are a few of the statistics, combined with what I know from other sources:

Kelly Clarkson, the first winner, sold 2.5 million copies of her first CD and 5.2 million of her second - and it is still extremely hot. She's won two Grammys.

I’m packing for a cross-country flight tomorrow morning. Yes, another one. Don’t worry, Dude and Dude are ok with it. They hardly noticed the last trip. Just stepped from the third to the last week of April without skipping a beat. When they discovered that they couldn’t remember how they got from the 17th to the 30th of the month, I just told them that they went off with some hot chicks, and if they wanted to remember anything about it next time, they needed to lay off the neat tequila. This sent them off to the liquor store to replenish their stocks of Cuervo Gold. So it’s just me and the empty suitcase here right now.

He's Not MY Idol

Last night was supposed to be the crowning of the AMERICAN Idol, but it wasn’t. For the second time America witnessed the crowning of Simon Cowell’s idol. Granted, this time was a little more fair, as the votes were tied, and it’s in the rules that the judges get to be the tiebreakers. Not so in the case of Reuben Studdard and Clay Aiken.
Clay Aiken won American Idol by a landslide, but the judges reversed the numbers, giving his votes to Reuben and Reuben’s to Clay. Why? They feared the public would perceive Clay as gay, which they do. They mistakenly thought this would affect his marketability. But who’s career has taken off? Clay’s. His records outsell Reuben’s, his face is plastered in more places. I’d wager that many fans have forgotten that Reuben Studdard beat out Clay for the title of American Idol.

Clay Aiken Gay Sex Scandal - Will he preform tonight?

So Clay Aikens rescent gay sex scandal was a pretty big deal. Now the guy is supposed to be preforming at tonights AI finalie, but it has been said that AI producers (Hmmm...Simon Fuller?) are worried about the media interfearing with Gay Aiken.
In fact, producers of American Idol forbade reporters from asking Aiken about his gay sex scandal during the finale!
So it will be interesting to see IF Clay shows up and IF they allow him to preform.
