Support Groups--Giving Smoking the Boot!

Don't quit smoking alone!! It's incredibly hard to accomplish and you'll need all the help you can get! Check out local chapters for groups such as the American Cancer Society, or American Lung Association. If you'd rather get help online, visit their websites. I chose www.committedquitters.com. They will provide you a personalized plan to help you quit. If you have a tobacco-wielding spouse or partner, challenge them to quit with you. My husband and I play off of each other in everything we do so this was the perfect answer for us. We made a competition out of it. When I quit he quit, and unfortunately, when I started again, so did he. So here we are again, quitting together. That's what oneness is all about isn't it?

For those keeping track of my progress, I'm still smoke free and my energy is beginning to return. I woke up at 5:30 this morning and was wide awake!!

Tomorrow we'll talk about changing your routine.

sounds easy...

I quit smoking once for three months. But I gradually started up again and now I smoke more than I ever did.

It's hard.

I quit alone - and permanently.

I had my last cigarette about 30 years ago. I quit with no help. I had a pain in my chest and that was it for me! Good luck with it. It will save you a lot of money!

Check out my blog

I quit alone and permanently, too

Very early in my first pregnancy, in fact I did not yet know that I was pregnant, I felt so dreadfully ill that I just stopped smoking. The pregnancy nausea and vomiting went on for five months. When my baby was about 6 months old I went back to nursing, on part-time night duty, but never wanted to smoke again.

smoke

smoke is unhealthy!
