Sunday Madness

Today was a disappointing day of sorts. I really couldn’t do much on the moving front, so I surfed a bit; looking up more job posts and child care offerings on craigslist. And, left with little that I could actively pursue or investigate, my mind (as always) began to wander..................

Last night while I couldn’t sleep, the tv ran a soft rock sale ~ 10,000 songs almost nobody wants to hear anymore! So, today I spent the entire day with Robbie Dupree’s song, ‘Steal Away’ stuck in my head. Now, I actually still love that song, so it wasn’t bad in that sense ~ only depressing in that my boyfriend is, er, imaginary. And, during breaks from Robbie, there was the much unwelcome ‘Love Out of Nothing at All’ by Air Supply. *shiver* That, of course, lead me to thoughts of my stolen DVD of ‘Slither’! The only comedy-horror in the history of the world to feature Air Supply! God, I hate that asshat Steve! What a loser!

But, ya know what really cheesed me off? The pay phone’s broken! How can only the mouth piece of a phone break?! Oh, and I’ve been sort of off coffee for about a week. Not intentionally, really. No resolution to kick caffeine or anything. Just haven’t felt like buying it. Well, it’s more the hope that without my liquid crack I’ll be less inclined to sip on a cup instead of rushing out the door to begin my day! But, I bought some and oooooohhhhhhh.............oh my secret lover...........how could I have ever forsaken you?

Which brings me to another point ~ ever notice that someone always dies right before a baby is born? Creepy, huh? Makes you think that they should move the ICU and maternity wards to separate buildings. But, when you’re number’s up, it’s up, so I guess we shouldn’t bother. And, who was the idiot who came up with the LIE that you “forget the pain of child birth”???? That dude (and it must have been a dude!) needs to be hurt! I mean, pineapple enema, kinda hurt! But, seriously, doesn’t it make all pregnant women like Angela Lansbury??? You know, wherever the bitch goes, somebody dies! So, I say - you see a pregnant woman ~ run for your life!

Nella keeps carrying around Chuck, from the tv show ‘Chuck’. She pinches her forefinger and thumb together and takes him wherever we go. Recently she’s begun hanging out with Mick from ‘Moonlight’, too. But, today Mick was made to stay at the house when we left. ................I wonder why. Hmmm.

Is it wrong that I giddily anticipate introducing my middle son, Christian, to everyone at the Synagogue?

The guy who owns Facebook ~ the website valued in the billions ~ is young enough to be my kid. God, that’s depressing. And, ice skating is, apparently ginormous in Japan. Skaters from all over the world are treated like fricken rock stars when they perform there. Wow. Do they really that many gay men????

And, as we were walking back to the house, Nella kept yelling at or about (I seriously don’t know which!) Charlie. Now, the only Charlie I know about is the crazy-smart brother on ‘Numbers’. You know, the show she does everything short of banging pots together when I try to watch! But, before I had a chance to ask her, I was struck with a final thought ~ Rob Morrow’s kinda HOT.
