BRITISH COLUMBIA RAILWAY WORKER GARY MARK BROWN KILLED
VICTORIA DAY WEEKEND 1972 AT LEO CREEK BC

Gary Mark BROWN was a British Columbia Railway bridge building crewmember working out of Camp Kenyon. He was killed at Leo Creek BC during the Victoria Day Holiday in 1972.
He was twenty-seven years old. He has two grandchildren who will never know him.

In his wallet with his remains which were discovered four months after his mishap were the two photographs pictured above – the persons are believed to be (1) possible survivor of Alberta mine cave-in tragedy Norman Leslie (Scottie) YOUNG, and (2) possibly Linda TURNER (nee WALTON) [formerly Fort St. John BC & Prince George BC] wife of Larry TURNER [formerly Prince George BC & Coquitlam BC].

While searching in the bush at Leo Creek for Gary’s missing body I was befriended and assisted by a number of his co-workers – Ross (Rosaire) DIGNARD, David LUBBERS, John SISMUTH (crane operator), Hugh CLAYBURNE, & Cliff JOHNSON (crane operator) & his wife Elaine.

If you recognize any of the above people or know anyone else who may have known Gary or worked with him or anyone else who may have worked at Kenyon or Leo Creek during 1972 or have any knowledge of this mishap our family would appreciate hearing from you.
