It looks like ProfileSnoop is having some problems these days. At least, mine hasn't worked for a while now. So, what can you do if you want to know whose viewing your MySpace profile?

Well I found this site -- whosonmyspace.com. They claim to be able to track everyone who visits your profile (they also use the terms "checking you out" and "snooping/stalking" a lot... I wonder where they got THAT from.

Anyway, here's the catch. Once you register for a FREE ACOUNT, you're directed to sign up for another FREE ACCOUNT at Tagworld.com (which is kind of like a MySpace rival).

Now, why would you have to sign up for Tagworld.com to be able to insert the code on your MySpace profile? Does this make any sense?

Needless to say, I didn't complete the registration... but if you're that desperate to find out who's checking you out on MySpace... give it a try (at your own risk)!

So is this an addition to Myspace? Or is Myspace just that popular. I just made an account on her less than a minute ago, and it was because I'm wondering what this is all about. Also, is there a code for this "tracker" or is it softwear? Does anyone actually have something that works?

Joshua Rosas & Steve910 -

Thanks for your questions. Whosonmyspace.com is not currently working. From what I've been told, it worked fine for a day or two and then was blocked by MySpace. But you should know that this site (whosonmyspace.com) was created by a couple of Tagworld employees who wanted to take advantage of the MySpace tracker craze and sign up new people for Tagworld. So if you created an account there solely for the purpose of getting the "code" to a MySpace tracker, I would advise that you delete your account at Tagworld.

With that said, you should watch out for any other site promising a MySpace tracker code. Most won't be able to deliver and are only after your account info... or looking to increase their membership numbers (like Profilesnoop). Read Beware of MySpace Tracker Scams for more info.

I'll keep posting any new information on MySpace Trackers on my blog, MySpace or Yours and here as well... so keep checking back.

Thanks!

Is it true that the only way these trackers can actually track your views is if you and the person who is viewing your page are both signed up for it?? For example if I'm not signed up for the tracker and I look at your page can you still see that I viewed your page? I signed up for one and that was the case but is it the same with all of them? Why do so many of my friends post the myspace trackers and tell you to sign up.......who really cares unless they need you to sign up so they can see if you viewed their page? Right?

Hey meleya -

Yes, some MySpace trackers only work if both people are signed up for the same service -- meaning the owner of the profile AND the person the profile. I've heard that profilepeep.com and whosonmypage.com work this way...

But not all MySpace trackers were built this way -- when I first used ProfileSnoop it didn't matter if the person was or wasn't signed up with ProfileSnoop... and it showed EVERYTHING - photo, friend id, name, date # of views...but it only worked for a few days and then it was history...

If your friends are posting bulletins encouraging you to sing up for MySpace trackers, then yes, they probably want you to sign up so that they can see if you're viewing their profile... but there's other scams out there that SAY they're a MySpace tracker...and really it's just a ploy to get you to view their site and then re-post another bulletin so that they can sucker MORE people into viewing their page (raising their advertising revenue). Those are the shady sites that I can't stand...

I hope this answers your questions... :)

At a certain moment I would have found it interesting to see who is reading or looking at my site but I got the warning early enough telling me if I use the wrong trackers I would be eliminated from myspace.

There are some tracks that work and are allowed but it is better to ask assistance at myspace.

I decided not to wonder nor to worry... Of course if you would like to sell music or some other things it is interesting to knwo which user would read your stuff...

Twice comments were posted where I felt for sure that a hacker was at work and I did not let it in - lucky me. Just watch carrefully if the comment is suitable to the person....

hehe... i like their comment: "Those that have Myspace accounts that get 300 visits or more has no purpose using our service as it is completely useless to them. ProfileSnoop is not for people who get over 300 visitors a day, why would you need to track over 300 people who look at your profile? It's just plain stupid."

My opinion is that hi5 is better than myspace. I don`t know the exact numbers of member on these sites but the only thing that separates these two is that all the great bands or artist have a myspace page. But hi5 is more friendly and there is something going down there, people are talking and stuff, but on myspace everything is boring. For all those emo`s and pokemons on myspace is suggest a drug rehabilitation center so they cand be normal again.
