Stay the Course

Isn’t it strange than when an Emperor, I mean President, decides to go to war that staying the course becomes the only option. This spite of finding out the original reason we were forced into war was a lie. That’s right a lie. For weeks leading up to the invasion, government officials showed slides of trailers that housed biological nerve gases and harped endlessly about mushroom clouds hanging over every city in America. Every word was propaganda, every single word.

Now that we’re deployed in Iraq, we must stay the course. In Viet Nam we were told that if we pulled out the communists would take over. But with an entire continent under their control where was the shock in that happening. If we pull out of Iraq the entire region would revert to Arab rule, again where’s the shock. Saddam will probably regain power and the US would have wasted $600,000,000,000 - $1,300,000,000,000 assuming you call the pocketing of war profits by million of American millionaires wasting money. It’s not like regular Americans will ever benefit from the war. Our sons and daughters will die or get wounded to ensure the right of the wealthy to war profiteering.
