Starting a Business
Now for something a bit different. For years I have wanted to start a business but have been having a hard time. I'm not looking for something like those make-a-million-online type of things, something more in the brick-and-mortar category, like a sports bar.
What I'm wondering is how do you go about getting the cash for such an endevor? How do banks, the SBA, and other organizations help? I'm writing a business plan now, including what I want it to do, a sample menu, and financial estimates. I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who has done it and what it took. Any advice would be helpful.
Also, my wife makes these wonderful egg rolls and I've been trying to get her to sell them but we have a hard time getting going. How would you go about selling something like that? You hear stories of how people started selling some signature food and next thing you know they own a string of fast food joints or sell their stuff world wide in the grocery store.
I guess in the end we're going to have to start seizing the day and just go for it!
