After all the research and all the decision-making we went through about what cell phone service to use after we moved, it has all turned out to be a waste of time. We had to change our cell phone service from Centennial Wireless to a larger company. We had two to choose from: Verion Wireless and Sprint. For whatever reason ( I think it was just because my husband liked the Treo phone they offered), my husband decided on Sprint. We moved to the Blue Ridge Mountain area in northern Virginia, and guess what? Our cell phones don't work. My great looking, fun, Muziq phone is so unreliable that I have stopped using it. My daughters have Upstages and they are only a little more reliable. The only phone that consistently gets a signal is my husband's. I wanted to switch to Verizon. Everyone around here says that Verizon is the only service that works. My husband called Sprint and told them we didn't want to pay for something we weren't getting. The guy at Sprint sweet-talked my husband into staying with them and using the roaming setting on our phones. He said that should solve the problem and they wouldn't charge for the roaming.
It has been a couple of weeks now, and I really haven't seen any difference in my service. Even in the roaming mode, the connection isn't clear or is dropped completely. It is very frustrating! I really like my phone, but it feels like it is my enemy--not to be trusted. Why didn't we just go with Verizon in the first place? Argh!
