When I look back at the week that was, it was pretty great as far as betting goes. I had two days where I only had one loss. Actually I had three, but on one of those days there were only 2 games so I won’t count it. Overall I picked winners a hair over two-thirds of the time and finished 10 games over .500. Not bad huh? The funny thing is I didn’t do any research this week. I tried to use my memory to recall what happened over the previous few games purely based on the scoreboard, highlights, and sports talk television. It’s amazing the things we remember. I can probably tell you bets I won and loss dating back to this past football season. I can probably even tell you the spreads. I can tell you what the stupidest bet I made all year was. I took the Cleveland Browns(+4) over Minnesota Vikings in Minnesota after the Vikes won 3 or so games in a row. Minnesota won by 2 touchdowns. On that Sunday I was 13-3-1, but taking the Browns caused me to lose out on probably 800 or so dollars even though I won about 300. I can remember poker hands I played incorrectly that caused me to lose 50 bucks or getting knocked out of a 20 dollar tournament. I can remember football games I played in when I was 11. I remember mistakes I made in those games. I remember some of the good things too. But you know it is the negatives that haunt you. They bother me because when I want to be good at something; I mean really want to be good, I expect to be.

As some of you know I am starting a new job today. We’ll see how good I am at that. Speaking of good, Phil Mickelson was great yesterday. Lefty won his third major and his second Masters title. Both times Tiger presented him with the green jacket since he was the winner the previous year. Mickelson won the tournament using 2 drivers. One was used for fades and won for hooking the ball around dog legs and such. Even though he won a tournament last weekend by 13 strokes using the 2 driver system many people thought it would not work at Augusta. People…What do they know? Here’s the deal:
