Sports Betting receives a sign from GOD. FREE Picks!!!

Yesterday I mentioned that Sir Mix A lot won a Grammy for Baby Got Back? Maybe I am the only person that did not know that because no one else seemed startled. Or maybe nobody gives a crap, which is understandable too.
Anyhow, I am back on this betting thing and not just giving picks. When the NBA lines were released for the second round series on Saturday I made my picks immediately. No research needed. I took Dallas getting 4.5 at San Antonio and Detroit giving 10.5 to Cleveland at home. The teams covered with no problem. Fine. I also took the over (180.5) in the Dallas game to complete the infamous three team parlay. I figured San Antonio has not had that much rest since their last game and they probably wouldn't be able to give a stellar defensive effort. I was in great shape entering the fourth quarter. The score was 72-71. This meant I only needed these teams to combine for 38 points or 19 a piece. At this point neither team had failed to score less than 20 points in any quarter and they were averaging nearly 48 points combined in each quarter. These bastards proceeded to score 13 and 16 points. That’s not even 30 total points. Maybe that is a sign that God does not want me to bet.
Detroit Piston center, Ben Wallace, has reportedly won his 4th Defensive Player of the Year Award in the last 5 years. I do not know how I feel about this. When I watch Detroit play I think Big Ben is a good defensive player, but he does not stick out to me as being the best. I am not saying he isn’t and I don’t even have a suggestion as to who should be. I just feel that he has earned a certain reputation and therefore they give him the award just because.
I read an article related to Ben winning this award and it said that he is the only person in the league ranked in the top 10 in rebounds, blocks, and steals. whoopdy freakin' doo. To me, this is an okay indication of him being a good defensive player, but really it just means that he hustles. Or maybe he is a big man who is quick. Most NBA gaurds just don’t have the height to average over 10 rebounds per game or that many blocks. That is why half of an NBA roster are 6 foot 9 inches and taller. You need those guys to get rebounds and protect the cylinder. Not only that, forwards and centers play under the basket because that is where their position places them. That is where most of the rebounding opportunities are.
In further support of Ben, that article proclaimed that Wallace is the leader of one of the best defensive teams in the league. Good point right? I was almost duped too until I came across the fact that Detroit was ranked 17th in NBA in defensive field goal percentage. A stat that hardly signifies a team as being one the best defensive squads in the league. But I'm not a hater so congrats Big Ben. Here’s the deal:
NBA Playoffs:
new jersey(+5) over MIAMI
PHOENIX(-5.5) over clippers- I am waivering on this one. Stay tuned.
MLB:
CARDS over rocks
cubs over PADRES
RANGERS over twins
BLUE JAYS over angels
indians over ROYALS
MARINERS over d rays
GIANTS over astros-by the way did yo see the bomb that Barry Bonds hit last night? I saw it live on tv and it was an absolute monster estimated as traveling 450 feet. I think that he gets 714 tonight. Going against an elite pitcher like Roy Oswalt works in to his advantage because Oswalt will want to challenge Barry. Then again who really wants to be the one that gave up the one that tied the Babe.

Ben is the best!
James, how could you say thay Ban isn't all that? Mr. Wallace is an amazing player! But, that is coming from me, a Detroit resident.
As far as I understand isn't he one of the few defensive players to get triple doubles? I may be wrong, I really don't watch all the games, but I listen to the commentary. Correct me here if I am worng, please.
My only complaint about Ben is that he throws fits about not getting enough recognition. To me that seems really childish. He's basically screaming, "Chauncey is getting too much attention". That bugs me. Like you said, 4 defensive player of the year awards in five years...what more attention does he want?

Ben is good, but is he the best...?
I do not think Big Ben has even one triple double under his belt, but if does that's cool. What does that mean? Not much because he probably has only one if any. And his offensive stats are not important because this is a defensive award.
I am not saying that he does not deserve it, but I am just not so sure he deserves it. You know how all star players make the team just because of their name? I think that is what is happening with Ben. I do not have another suggestion, but I'll consider this a project. Perhaps, it's Bruce Bowen from the Spurs or Ron Artest.
I agree with you about Ben's attitude. In fact the entire Pistons squad keep talking about getting no respect. They are mad because they had games on NBA TV rather than on primetime television in their previous series with Milwaukee. Just because they are one of the best teams does not mean that a series with the Bucks was a good one. In fact it was not. As I mentioned a few blogs ago, the closest game was decided by 11 points. Obviously the Wizards/Cavaliers series was so much more entertaining. This series gave us 3 games decided by 1 point on last second shots, two of which were made by LeBron James. The very player they are complaining about receiving too much attention.
Hopefully they direct this motivation in the right place. I would not be surprised if they sweep LeBron and the Cavs. I still think they will win the championship.
