Last night was pretty bad. I don’t know my record, but I am sure it was below .500. All I can really remember is that the Hornets were playing the Clippers tough on the road and then proceeded to get outscored 42-16 in the second half. The Hornets were consistent, I have to give them that. They scored an amazing 8 points in both the third and fourth quarters. This, by the way, is a record low for points scored in a half in the shot clock era!! Oh yea, I took Texas Tech with my bonus pick at Baylor. I had a feeling that Baylor was going to win, but they are so bad it is hard to pick them especially when they're only a 2 point dog. I hate when I do that. Last week when 21-2 Villanova visited Cincinatti I had that same feeling. I took the Bearcats at home getting 4 points. They lost by two and got the cover. I just didn't have the balls to do it last night. Anyway, today is a new day and it is a day I have been waiting for for a long time now. My financial troubles are behind me, in a sense, and now I can place some bets of my own rather than just giving advice. I can put my money where my mouth is and place actual wagers. I have bet before, but it has been a while. I forgot how hard it is to pull the trigger on a game when there is actual money at stake.
