Since I got a job, I have not placed a single bet. Not even one. Before this, whenever I got 50 bucks, 20 of it was going to try to turn that 50 into a 100. Maybe I am too tired to think about betting. Nah, that can’t be it. The word for this is phenomena.

Well, well, well. Imagine my surprise when both the teams I picked to make it to the finals lost their respective game 1s. I have no idea what’s going on with the Pistons. I tend to think that Miami won simply because they are a well rested squad. Shaq was exceptionally spry after resting his 34 year old body over the past week. He’ll start to break down in game 3 or 4. Wait. I am getting a vision...I see the Heat going up 3 games to 2 before the Pistons take the final two games and the series for the second straight series.

As for Dallas, they like to play at a fast pace at times, which is exactly what the Suns want them to do. It would be to their benefit to slow down the pace because they play well in the halfcourt, unlike Phoenix. Avery Johnson is the Coach of the Year. He will get it together.

How bout my Mets picking up El Duque to bolster their depleted starting pitching rotation. If we get that aspect of our team squared away, we will be in great shape. I love El Duque. In the manliest way possible, of course. He has pithced in New York before and is one of the great post season pitchers. Here's the deal:
