I must say, initially it was tough going in last night’s outing. If you read my blog yesterday then you know I lost both of my money bets. When it became apparent that Syracuse was not going to win I had to make another bet to recoup my losses. It became apparent about ten minutes into the game so I guess I actually waited a litle longer than that. I placed the bet when they were down 30 sometime in the middle of the second half. And just when you thought it could not get any better, the deficit was extended to about 45. The final score was 108-69. This was the worse loss in the Boehiem era, which spans a quarter of a century or so. At this point the only way SU is getting into the big dance is if they beat Villanova in their next game or if they can miraculously make it to the championship game of the Big East tournament. The other game I chose to bet on was UCLA(pk) at Cal. I imagine it was a great game because it went into overtime, but the Bruins took over in the extra session and went on to beat the Bears by 7 or 8 so that was good. Ben Howland has been proven to be an excellent choice to bring UCLA back to prominance. I have yet to make my picks for the day so I'll try to give an update on my actual bets if anyone is interested. Here’s the deal for tonight:

UTAH(+4.5) over the clippers-Kirilenko is injured so if he plays take the Jazz, if not take the Clips
PHOENIX(-14) over orlando
SEATTLE(+8) over detroit-when you're 8 point dog at home you ought to have extra incentive to play hard
