Some Writing Gigs are Not All that Great

My last post was about a new writing job I had. It seemed very nice, easy, and paid well. Unfortunately it didn't turn out to be as great as it seemed. The pay was decent because several of the "articles" I had to do took at least an hour to do research and write it. We had to have two sources and sometimes finding a second one was near impossible (hence why the research took so long). Trying to keep up writing 40 of these with the research was like having two full time jobs. I literally had no life outside of this writing job. I didn't spend time with my husband and I never got to watch TV, read a book, or anything else that was restful to me. I also had an editor that didn't seem to like me and complained about more articles than I thought would have happened. I requested a new editor but apparently they couldn't get one for me. After two and half months I was let go from this job. I did get paid for all of it, which I was grateful for. I miss knowing I was making nice money but not the life it made me have. So for the moment I have decided to take a break from writing and am reading a series instead I wanted to and working on my novel instead.
