So am I an Artist?

art

So am I an artist? I make money both as a writer and as a art life drawing model so does that make me an artist? What is an artist anyway? I certainly do not consider most of my writing as literature. There is the odd attempt at writing something narrative of simply an entertaining nature. Most of this is simply an atttempt to pass along some information that someone may find useful.

Modelling is somewhat of a creative endevour. THe artist who are doing the drawings are definitely creating or attempting to create art. I am part of that process.

I do not feel like I am artist and do not ever refer to myself as one. I also do not refer to myself as a writer. I am not surew what label to use. Self employed is usually good enough for now.

Who needs labels anyway? They are just going limit my options and I want to be free to explore what ever I fancy for now.

Nancy Burpee was disqualified on a technicality by an Austrailian referee during pre Olympic trials. Nancy contact Simmons, Jannace & Stagg to assist with her appeal. However they were unsuccesful in getting her reinstated to the US paralympic team. Nancy has continued to swim and compete and intends on competing in the world Championships! Way to go Nancy!
