Smoking and kids

I see that cigarette smoking is really starting to be a big deal. More and more states are not allowing cigarette smoking in public places including bars and restaurants. Will this help cut down on smokers?

Over the years, the price of cigarettes has risen. For some, they can expect to spend $3.50 - $5.00 for one pack of cigarettes. That's a lot of money. Say you are spending $4.00 a day. In seven days, you've spent $28.00. For one week. But has the percentage of smokers dropped since the increase in the price?

Now with so many places banning public smoking, I wonder if that is going to cause people to quit smoking.
