[b]First of all,let me say that i don't have no children to write about.This poem just all of a sudden popped in my head as i was watching a show on tv.I thought why not write a poem about children?It might touch hearts.Who knows?But the thought when i wrote it,is to think of spiritually of the child.
I wanted the poem to sound like kind of a Christian way of thinking,not that i am a Christian,(For i am not)but wanted to think on a Christian level.I thought when writing this poem,of how children will get scared in the night when they are in bed trying to sleep.And than all of a sudden,they hear a strange sound coming from the closet door.Here,i try to ease the child's mind by saying to them,"sleep peacefully my child,never dream dreams that scare you.Always dream of only pleasent dreams that make you peaceful and calm."Sort of a way to ease their spirits at nighttime.
