Skinny Mom

Have mercy....I have been away from BP in ages. Life always has a way of taking over my hours, I get pulled in 1,000 different directions and my blogs always end up seeing me go MIA. One of the things that's been eating up my time has been my attempt to figure out a way to make a little more side income from home and I finally decided to turn a pet peeve into profit.
I have always had people make fun of my weight....as a kid and teen everyone called me chicken legs or made fun of the fact that I had a boyish body. Then when I got pregnant I had to endure snide remarks from the other moms to be in my Lamaze class and later on when my kids were born, the moms at the park would comment on my eating habits (which they knew nothing of, and perhaps would have hated me more knowing that I had just stopped at McD's for a breakfast meal on the way there....biotches!) so I finally decided that if they were gonna be haters, I would stop wearing the huge sweatshirts and baggy jeans I started to don in order to "fit in" and would wear my "Skinny" with pride.
So, I've just started a line of t-shirts through CafePress for skinny moms or anyone who feels like they are, should be or wanna be a skinny mom! I'm excited, this is a brand new venture and now I'm introducing it to the world (or what my world consists of! LOL!) Check out my new stuff at: http://www.cafepress.com/skinnymom
I hate that this post seems like a total ad, but this is the most exciting thing I've done in a while...so
I just had to share! :)

LOL! Welcome back! Hope
LOL! Welcome back! Hope things have been going well for you.
Sorry, I can't buy anything, because me wearing a t-shirt that says "Skinny Mom" crosses the line from irony into absurdity. ;) One of these days, when I get everything except my fingers nipped and tucked, I promise to buy something. lol
IG!!!!! You kill me!
it's so good to "see" ya again! and you had me on the floor with your comment! i am sure you could absolutely rock a t-shirt. but no worries....even though i get called skinny....i could use some nip and tuckage. the girls are looking a little national geographic if you know what i mean! LOL!

Hmph!
I don't want to hear it from you, missy! I had double D's... AND THEN I breastfed!!! Those women in the National Geographic look at pics of me and say, "Wow! I've got a much better rack than she does!" ;)
I've got a lousy figure, but I know how to work it when I need to. If it looks like it came out of the "Hairspray" wardrobe, it's all good. Tonight I've got an art show, and I kid you not, I'm wearing what I call my "Betty Rubble Dress". It's a blue leopard print dress, and when I worked at the store that sold it, EVERYONE loathed it. Finally, one girl said, "You know, it's not that bad on." I figured she's trying to con somebody into trying it on so she could blackmail them with photos, so I decided to try it on and take away that criticism. I mean, it may look awful, but at least I had the guts to try it on. I put it on, zipped it up, and it was gorgeous. It gives me this sexy Jessica Biel backside, and I know for a fact that's not how it normally looks. Apart from that, with enough Spanx, anything works. :D
Do you also do "tall?" ModelMom?
http://bloggerparty.com/blog/sassys
I am not "skinny" but I am lean and I have issues finding clothes for tall people...I am not all that tall but here in Ga I seem to be considered tall...it's a pain in the arse! I am only 5/7 and 1/2 yet I am deemed tall:(
So sometimes I just buy t-shirts for men!
Sassy! we're the same height!
even though i get marketed as half an inch taller! but i know what you mean about the tshirts. i like the tunic cut tees when i can find them because they are cut longer! i did get one of my own shirts from skinny mom and it was a good length. man, i should move to GA so i can be considered tall too! i am always the "short" model. blah!
