Sin Is A Lot Like Food

You walk into a banquet hall. Laid out before you is an array of the most delicious, most appatizing, delectible foods you can imagine. Succulent meats, creamy potatoes, plump fresh vegetables, fruit rich and juicy. The first thing you notice is how it looks. Tempting, inviting, and most certainly alluring. it's so beautiful you can almost taste it as you stare.
Next the aroma wafts across the room. The essence draws you closer and your mouth begins to water. You cannot olny see how tempting it is, but you can also smell the aroma. as you pick up a plate, your eyes search for the perfect specimen. Each spoonful of food is carefully lifted to your plate. As you make your way to a table, your senses cry out for just a quick taste.
As you place the first bite in your mouth, the flavors explode. Bite after bite you are reminded how really delicious this meal is and you will only quit eating when you are saturated and you can eat no more.
But what happens after the first bite? The food between your teeth is ground up and it mixes with saliva. Ever played lookie lookie when you were a kid? Do you remember how awful a mouthful of food looks aftr it has been chewed up? If you spit it out on your plate, would you want to take another bite?
Once chewed, the food travels to the stomach where it is saturated in gastric acids. If it looked bad before, it looks a lot worse now. Ever throw up? Not too appetizing is it?
Once leaving the stomach it travels through the small and large intestines. And then out the back door. Where it really looks yucky.
Sin isn't much different. It looks appetizing until the disire is fed and then onceit is incorporated into you, it changes...it looks repulsive...just like that dinner you consumed.
