SIMPSONS: THE MOVIE-

Plot- The town of Springfield as a pollution problem, and to stop this the Government traps them in a dome. Its up to the Simpson’s to save the day.

Review- I used to be a huge fan of the Simpson’s T.V show. Sadly, later seasons failed to capture my interest. So how did I like the movie?

Well, the first half of the movie was great. I was almost always constantly laughing and having a blast. The second half of the movie though was only sort of funny. It had its moments, but seemed to focus more on the action and even drama over the humor.

I had a problem with the lack of characters from the show. Almost everyone shows up at one point, but that’s it. Even Smithers and Burns are only in the film like one minute.

I still had fun with it though, but is it the summers best movie? Not even close.

I have to give credit to the animators. The animations are pretty good here.

The entire cast of the Simpson’s reprises their roles and even stretch beyond voice-acting wise. Good job!

Violence: Cartoonish violence, mainly to do with that cartoon Bart and Lisa always watch.

Nudity: an implied, off-screen sex scene and a nude scene from Bart(Including a full-frontal sequence.....ew?)

Overall, I recommend this to anyone who likes the show. It has its touching moments, good action and some great laughs, but otherwise fell short as what I expected from it.....like everything else this summer.
