From underneath the clothing racks she crawled
9:00 pm
store closing
underneath the sparkling silver stands on which hung many copies of herself and all she ever wanted to be
empty mesh
silk dress
denim jeans
linen gray pant
from underneath the clothes racks she crawled
unhappy because her mother had called from
heaven
“where are you my love
where are you my dear
Sue come out from underneath that rack
you always go under there
every time we come to the clothing store
