Shopping in December

We went shopping this morning. It wasn't any busier than usual and we went to 3 supermarkets and got a parking space readily in all three. The shops themselves were a tiny bit busier than they usually are on a normal Friday but not overly busy. What a difference it is to England where at this time of year supermarket carparks are full. People are rushing hither and thither in blind panic in order to buy enormous amounts of food and presents. Here, in France, Christmas, and therefore, Christmas shopping is very relaxed.
