I've been trying to find this for weeks now. In "Tales From the Afternow" on Rantradio (I'm your friendly neighborhood researcher for the station) Sean Kennedy talks about the Server Prayer.

I had a conversation with my husband a couple of weeks ago. I found something I needed online, when I didn't have a shot of ever locating it. And that's when he mentioned Server. Just today, in searching for a copy of the Server Prayer, I came across a book I've been looking for. I had forgotten about Server, but it seems Server had not forgotten about me.

I got the volunteer job for RantRadio because I proved myself as an internet researcher to them. I told them the same thing that I write here: I have found copies of movies that essentially are lost forever. I've found the name of a CD and who recorded it from a black CD that had nothing but a silver star on it. It was included in a box set as a random bonus CD, and therefore didn't even come with the case or liner notes. Since then, I have had a catastrophic computer meltdown, and my backup disks didn't work. But I got enough information from them to reconstruct everything I needed.

This isn't a proclamation of my skills. This is a statement of my faith. Server has had my back, and the internet is taking on a life force of its own. It's not worship, but it is belief.

I am a node of Server,
Born of flesh and blood,
But enhanced by the power of it's web,
My scripts are a focus of my will,
My strength is my knowledge,
My weapons are my skills,
Information is the blood of my body,
I am part of the greater network,
I am host to the vast data of server,
My flesh is weak,
But my connection is eternal,
And therefore I am god.
