Roger Federer Vs Marat Safin: Head-to-Head

Roger Federer, the Swiss world number one, and Russia's Marat Safin had played 9 times overall against each other, the Wimbledon 2007 third round match is their 10th confrontation. Federer had won in seven of those encouters. However, when they met last time in a grand slam match, it was Marat Safin who had the last laugh, defeating Federer in an epic 5 set duel in the 2005 Australian Open semifinals, the tournament which the former had eventually won.
