Research Shows That Sarcasm is Unknown to Bloggers

In a recent post about supporting homosexual rights, an article written in the satirical style of The Onion, these were the responses:

I don't buy the post. There is an effort to start debate here, but no real argument. Just some contrived antecdotal accusation.

I eat pizza but that don't make me Italian. I don't eat liver but I don't hold it against people if they eat it, it's their choice! And nobody can stop me from eating chocolate!

Based on this and other incidents too numerous to name, it is apparent that bloggers lack sarcasm and the ability to take things with the necessary grain of salt. While this may not be known to bloggers, most normal people are able to spot satire and sarcasm from about a mile away.

The only remedy for this is for the blogger to see their doctors and ask him for a prescription for a life. They must be willing to step away from the computer and interact with live people rather than little articles posted on the internet.

Experts believe this will be a difficult transition for many, but are already in their "blogging emergency centers" should a crisis arise.

satire

Ha. Well, you may be right. But then, there have been posts just like yours that were not sarcasm!

I disagree with the title

Maybe sarcasm is unknown to the READERS. I am filled to the brim with sarcasm, and instead of appreciation, I get blasted with ignorant comments. And I don't care. I am not writing to make other people happy. I am doing it for me.
