Remarks about "Lucid dreaming" (by BigBadJohnny)

Someone just called my attention to a very interesting subject, a very interesting web site, Lucid dreams.

http://www.lucidity.com. or
http://www.lucidity.com/LucidDreamingFAQ2.html .

I thought this might appeal to some readers at BloggerParty.com.

Lucid Dreaming it says means dreaming, and knowing you are dreaming. You see yourself flying over the rooftops, and say, "Oh, this must be a dream!"
I have never known I was dreaming, while dreaming.
However, several years ago I had a very painful condition, related to smallpox, which lasted for months. Months of level 8 pain, and massive doses of non-prescription pain remedies, aspirin, tylenol, and the like, to curtail the pain.
Eventually I found myself in a state where I was neither dreaming nor awake. I could open my eyes, then close them, and go back to the same dream. Then, I knew I was dreaming.
it was a great relief from the pain, and I will never forget it.

Dreams are an expression of the subconscious. Freud was able to make a great deal out of this, and used it in his understanding of the sub-conscious mind, in his "Interpretation Of Dreams"

As to dreams being portents of the future, warnings, prior knowledge, that would be wonderful.

Thanks for the link. You have inspired tommorow's blog, because there's too much to even consider posting it as a comment.
