Relax and have some tea and scones

T Salon.

We went to T Salon today after rehearsal to have some tea and scones and chit chat. My question is, how come we don't spend more time doing this during the week just chit chatting with friends over tea and scones like the British? The waiter at T Salon was rather pretentious but not that unbearable. The decor of the cafe is cozy with deep red walls and soft cushions to sit on. I shared a blueberry scone with a friend and the size of the scone is actually pretty big. It comes already sliced up with raspberry puree and devon cream on the side. I ordered the white tea, white tips tea. The tea is very light and just a delightful drink. There is almost a slight honey taste to the tea. I drink tea like I drink water so I try not to drink too much high-caffeine teas.
Despite the pretentious service, I do recommend this little joint between the flatiron district and union square.
