Relations

Blood Relations play a great role in our life and we can not afford to live life without them. Those people are really unlucky who do not have blood relations in this world. Relations can provide us lot of help in our bad time and give us power to face the difficulties of life. Today when I was talking with one of my friends then I discovered all this. He has very bad experiences from his relations and feeling weak due to not having strong relations. So he was trying to search his relations in his friends and neighbors. However unfortunately, others are other and it is a difficult task to win their hearts and start a strong relation with them. I want to pray to god that he gets lot of good relations in his life and become stronger.

Nuclear Family and culture

Hi Arvindkatoch1,

The unfortunate thing for many of us is that in so-called developed countries the extended family and strong blood ties have broken down as family members move away to distant towns. The cultural links between family members have broken too. Living in China I see the strength of family obligations here but I also see the stress put on those links by the need of even husbands to live in towns distant from their wives as both work to find success in a modern economy. In China, family relationships involve financial obligations, but in my life it was a very big thing to ask a relative for financial help and would only be done in absolute desperation.

How does that work in your culture? What areas of life are relatives available to help in and are there any areas of life that are not appropriate to ask a relative for help in?

Which country do you live in, the homeland or are you a member of an immigrant family? I am. I went to Australia from Scotland as a child. Now I am living in China as a foreigner and don't know how many years I will stay.
