Okay, I'm jumping the gun just a little bit, but man, this series to date has looked more like a professional team versus a college team. At least last night Colorado put up a little bit of a fight, but then they were summarily dismissed as the posers they are.
I mean, they'd won 21 of 22 games down the stretch, which isn't anything to sneeze at, but really, this was against the "best" the National league had to offer, and no one really considered the National League as much of a division this year.
The Red Sox ended up tied for the best record for the year, but truthfully, they really were the best team of the year. Yeah, a bit of a slump down the final stretch, but overall, no one wanted to play this team, and now everyone knows why.
It's hard to imagine that the Sox are on the verge of winning their second World Series in the last 3 years, and the hated Yankees can't even get this far, after winning all those pennants previously. And I live in Yankee Land, and hate the Yankees. If my team wins tonight, I'm going to gloat as much as when my Cowboys beat Buffalo in the Super Bowl two years in a row. Loving it!
