Recession? Nah, It's Just Another Duster
This is a bit of a rant, but bear with me....
Is it just me or does anyone else recognize the fact that we are indeed in a recession? We all know that prices are sky high today and they wont be coming down anytime soon, if at all.
So just how stupid do the big wigs in Washington think we really are? Isn't it bad enough that people don't have enough money to eat? People are choosing food or medication and when they make that decision they don't know if they can afford to go get it due to gas prices being too high.
The worst has yet to come when it comes to gas prices, they are predicting that it will rise to $5.00 a gallon by the end of this summer. Peoples homes are being foreclosed on every single day, and that means we will soon have that many more people becoming homeless and are now being put on welfare...hell we couldn't afford welfare ten years ago and now it's going to get really bad.
So when the big wigs in Washington tell me that this is just temporary...my response to them will be..."My struggle to survive is not temporary... Mr. President your job sure as hell is." And that's about the only good news we will see anytime soon.

The food banks can't keep their shelves stocked
because formerly middle-class people are now being forced to go to them for help. Banks are failing, mortgage companies have already failed by the dozens. But noooooooooo, it's not a recession. Sen. Asshat is getting his bills paid and his kids aren't having trouble putting gas in their cars on the allowance he gives them and his wife hasn't had to lay off the maid so, how could we be in a recession.
This was a bad post to read first thing in the morning. Now, I'm pissed off for the day. Fucking politicians. The next time they even mention voting in a raise for themselves I'm going to organize a demonstration that will clog the roads in front of their fancy offices for weeks.

I think it's time the American public starts laying off the hired no good help we have in DC. The thing that kills me is that we CAN do something about all of this...and according to some people it wont take 30 years either...like car companies should take the initiative and start making cars that don't rely on gas...Demand that we copy what people in certain other countries already did a long time ago...sugar cane is easy to grow and it grows quickly...why not sugar cane ethanol?
Sounds mighty sweet to me.

I think we're in a recession, Sassys...
and my proof for that isn't that the Fed didn't lower interest rates the other day; my proof is that they're already so low that if they had lowered the interest rates they would have been telling companies to give credit away. What a nice little revolving business someone is enjoying. The price of gas jumps up drastically, so everything else increases to keep up with it. Therefore, every business that produces products have to charge way more to cover not only the costs of transportation but the costs of materials which have also jumped, and they're making less profits but more money all around. Who's actually winning here? Well, besides Bush in the background, the oil giants, and the Saudis?

this was the plan all along...Bush and the Saudis together figured that being as it's his last term in office (thanks be to god) they might as well finish raping and pillaging this country...because after all Americans have been sitting by idly and don't have a real clue. This is what is so bloody enraging to me...we have been hoodwinked for so long and the idea that if McCain wins it will go on and on forever sickens me...it really does.
The Solution is Simple
The solution is very simple, yet so damn hard to get done. Ok drum roll please……. NEVER VOTE FOR AN INCUMBUNT. Make each and every candidate a one time has been. This is our government, we have elected representatives (senators & representatives) to serve our interests. If that is not happening then our only remedy is get new representation. WE SHOULD BE LETTING OUR CANDIDATES KNOW. We should email each of our congress persons with the message “get it right or get the hell out!”.

Although by the same way, we should be allowed to vote an incumbent back in IF they manage to do a great job too. The current administration does know that the Democrats will win by a huge margin thanks to their complete and total ineptitude...and that's the least of it...I really do think both Bush, Cheney, Conda, etc. should be impeached and put before a military war tribunal for crimes against humanity...it wont happen, but I would really like to see them for once in their petty, petty money grubbing lives, get truly humbled.
