Really?? Have Car Will Work!!

Part of my job as manager is to screen prospective employees and we are currently looking for drivers...I got a call this a.m from a fellow that is recently moved here from NYC.

I asked this guy where he was from being that he has an accent that I can't quite place and being that I do speak a couple of other languages I thought I might be able to understand him better in his own language...his response..."I am from NY"

*Sigh*...then he asked me what were the requirements for the job...I told him to bring in his MVR and his license and registration...he then says "You mean I have to have my own car?" *Sigh*...I would understand this question if I too had had a lobotomy...however that is not the case. YET!!

Ah, poor guy!

Don't be too hard on him, Sassy-girl. I've seen those ads, too, and they don't always say that you have to drive your own car. For someone who's never checked into a job like that, it can be confusing. Although, him being from "NY" probably puts him at a bigger disadvantage. LOL!!!

It could be that he just didn't "get it" in which case he will be looking elsewhere for a job...I can deal with many things in this life...but stupid is not one of them.

Odd as it seems, Sassys,...

I actually understand his question, if he's actually from NYC. Most people in NYC don't have their own car, but some places still deliver, so the businesses either have a car for someone else to drive or, believe it or not, gives them bicycles so they can make the deliveries.

I did take that into consideration, but he has been in Atlanta for several years, or at least thats what he told me.

I gotcha, Sassys,...

if one hasn't learned certain things about where they're living at that point, then they're not playing with a full deck. :-)
