Reality Bites Back-exceeds expectations

Comedy Central comes out with new shows relatively frequently. However, they seem to be very hit or miss to say the least.

But how does their newest offering, Reality Bites Back, fare?

Reality Bites Back is modeled after and presented as a reality tv show. The "contestants" (who are all comedians) must go through various challenges to win a grand sum of 50,000$. The episodes are each modeled after other reality tv shows. There is the bachelor spinoff, the gladiator challenge, etc. The first episode involved each cast member having to "seduce a sexy member of the opposite sex" in a very dark room. The ones being "seduced" turned out to be their mother or father. This became very entertaining, as of course, the contestants did not know who they were speaking to, and belched forth wildly inappropriate information.

If you are looking for a show to gossip about who will be eliminated next, this is most certainly the wrong program. The producers are in control of who gets knocked off and when. The show is far less reality than it is bizarre humor, and as wikipedia declares is "about 50% sketch comedy and 50% unscripted."

If you do get a chance (and appreciate crude, loud humor) then you owe it to yourself to at least watch a few minutes of this show. It offered more than its share of laugh out loud moments interspersed by Michael Ian Black's cocky narrator character. It exceeded my expectations, what about yours?
