Code to Zero
by Ken Follet opens with the protagonist discovering himself asleep in a men's restroom wearing the clothes of a bum with no idea how he had gotten there and no memory of who he is. As he attmepts to discover his identity, he finds out that he is a key figure in a plot that is key to the outcome of the cold war, but he doesn't know what side he is on or which of his friends have betrayed him.

I found the premise of this book intriguing and enjoyed learning about Luke's life as he did. Read this book for the excitement and adventure, but also for the historical aspect (Cold War, Space Race), and a deeper exploration to human pschology than is usually seen in an adventure book.
