I'm looking for answers to a few random questions:

1) How do you brighten the monitor on a Dell Laptop? Mine is getting darker and you know, on my desktop, I can just push a button on the front. I've spent stupid amounts of time trying to figure it out, but I've gotten nowhere.

2) Does fruit go bad when it is still on the tree? I still have some lingering fruit and I have been afraid to eat it.

3) How can you tell if a opossum is dead or just "playing opossum?" Recently a baby opossum was apparently dead in my backyard. But I hated to scoop him up and toss him in a plastic bag, dooming him to a long, slow suffocating death in the trash if he was actually just pretending. I wouldn't have considered this possibility if I hadn't witnessed a opossum that was frightened "to death" in front of my own eyes a few years back. The performance was so convincing that I went back to check on the animal later, only to see it getting up, shaking off, and heading back the way it came. Amazing.

4) Is anyone else having trouble with Pingomatic.com? Most of the time when I try to use it to "ping" my blogs I get "cannot find server" messages. It's happening more with one blog than the other.

5) Is there a way to know whether someone has commented on your blog entries here on blogger party without scrolling through and checking every entry you've ever written? On Writing Up there is a "recent posts" section where you can find the latest comments in every entry you've ever posted or commented in. It's handy. I tried to use the subscribe feature so that I could follow conversations here that I've participated in in different people's entries but I couldn't make that do anything either.
