On monday I am being interviewed about Gender Issues (based on my associated content articles) on the Moe and Kathy Radio Show. woot! You can view my articles here:

Yesterday I picked up my headshots and my "new" computer. The headshots are amazing. I will post one here as soon as I figure out how. Hint hint. This site is not very user friendly for the HTML-challenged. Most of the time my links don't even show up.

So Anyway, My new computer is not hooked up yet. My dad is going to take a look at it later. In the meantime, I am using the older one.

I am up early today. But not by choice. The builders are here fixing our stairs. They are VERY loud. It sounds like they are using a jack hammer. I get home from work around 1:30 am, and I try to be in bed by 2am. I couldn't sleep well last night. Combine that with being woken up by pounding noises, and today's forecast is "mostly grouchy, with a touch of scattered fake niceness here and there." Tomorrow does not look good either. You might want to stay indoors.

Congratulations on the interview. I hope you'll let us know how it goes.

New computers are great, even when they aren't brand new. My fiance gave me a laptop for Christmas. It wasn't new, but I still love it. I'm still adjusting to the nuances of the laptop vs. a regular computer, but over all, I like it. I'm sure you'll enjoy your new computer as well. There is nothing like having a computer that's totally yours without someone else's files and programs eating up space and memory.

I've had some trouble with the HTML here too. I really messed up the links on one and had to edit three times. I didn't really find the problem until two days later. I haven't see too many problems with the links on yours, but if they aren't showing up, I guess we wouldn't be able to see the problem anyway.

Keep us posted. It's good to see writers succeed in their work.

That was a really nice comment. I appreciate it. And I meant to tell you before, I love the quote in your signature. I've used that one before myself :) I'm also Poe fan.

Ah... the signature quote. This is definitely a favorite, along with a few by Emerson. I first encountered it at a bookstore on a bookmark. I didn't buy it, which I'm kicking myself for now, since I haven't been able to find it again. But I hunted down the quote and use it on everything now. People could probably track me down on the net by searching for that quote. lol..

As for the other comments, I always enjoy seeing writers succeed. I have been on writing forums where everyone is biting and clawing to get themselves published with the "me-against-the-world" attitude. I personally see nothing wrong with helping and encouraging other writers. We're all in the same boat after all. Is it really right to push someone else out?

Just a thought. By the way, I saw the post with the cover image for your book. It looks great.

not including, in Poe's case (at least from what I understand), the costs of the substances used to induce that dreaming ...

I tried images once myself, wasn't terribly happy with the result so I stopped. Since then Brenda-behind-the-curtain has changed the system. The tags I would normally use for images don't seem to be permitted - or perhaps they're automatically generated in a place where I can't see them.

Links, on the other hand, I haven't had much trouble with. Obviously. In an earlier (pre-server-change) iteration of Bloggerparty, Brenda evidently had a tool installed that blocked certain URLs, so that a click just brought you back to Bloggerparty. Lately, links I've posted have worked when they wouldn't have before.

If you like, show me what you're trying to do and perhaps I can help figure it out.

Lately I've gotten my links to work :) I've had no trouble with html on diaryland's website. Perhaps it was just a glitch that is fixed now. Thanks for your help.

Hey, I saw that quote on a poster in a classroom before. If I ever come across something with the quote, I'll let you know.
