Well, the nice man with the tow truck just left with my little car ~ ol’ Possie is off to do some good, I hope.

Just before New Years I decided to donate my little work horse to a women’s and children’s shelter for the tax break and they’ve finally been able to fit us into their pick up schedule. I’m actually quite impressed as the time frame I’d been given was between 8am & noon. Anyone who’s ever had to wait like this knows how that usually goes! But, they arrived just before 9: 30am! Not too shabby!

I have to admit that I’m kinda sad. I didn’t expect to feel anything beyond relief that it’s something I can check off the list in preparing to move. But ya, I’m kinda sad to see it go. Not weepy-teary sad, but still.

My friend came out as the guy nearly had it secured on the truck and made a joke that I should “pull out the camera”. It occured to me that I had that cheap webcam in my pocket! *sigh* But, sadly, it was out of juice, so I’ll just add one that I’d taken back in Big Spring. It would have been great to snap a pic of it on this gray and drizzley day ~ my poor little thing perched up on the truck. But, we did say goodbye; the kid standing next to me and waving, saying “Bye-bye car”. And, sadness aside, it is a check on my list and in a moment I’ll be taking us out to get the rest of today’s “stuff” done.

So, farewell, my piece of shit, Pontiac. You served us well........until you died...............
