Pyramids of Egypt

Pyramids were built of polished stone slabs. Inside each pyramid there was a small room. The coffins with the mummies of the pharaohs were placed in those rooms.

The biggest pyramid was built for Pharaoh Cheops about 2600 B.C. Its height is nearly 150 metres. The distance around its foundation is almost 1 km.
