Prison guards....... How good of a job are they doing?

criminals | life | living | real life | safety

Yesterday morning, a prison guard was arrested at the Kentucky State Penitentiary. He was seen passing illegal drugs to an inmate. Why on earth would he do that?

Although I have never been in a prison, I have heard the horror stories. There is no way that I would ever be cut out to even be a prison guard. I imagine it's a very, very difficult job. But why would a person that's chosen to work as one do something illegal?

I once had a neighbor that lost her job as a prison guard due to the fact she started dating an inmate. Her and I were never close, but they used to fight like cats and dogs. Another lady that lived in the neighborhood told me the whole story.

Apparently, she had a very good job at a penitentiary. But she met him while he was incarcerated, and they decided to be an item. She lost her job over it. And then a few years later, she is working and supporting him. While he is watching her kids. It was unbelievable.

There is no way I would want someone with a prison record around my children. It just amazes me what goes on in this world. And like this prison guard, he blew his job and everything else to do something like that.

It really makes you wonder what is going on in these prisons. I have heard that they even have internet in there. Is it a prison or a motel?

There are a lot of things that need to be changed in this Country, and prisons rules and regulations are one of them. People that break the law don't need to be rewarded.

Thinking....

about what you had posted and I just have another view.

Sometimes we have to reckon the fact that it takes all kinds of people to make the world go round. As hard as it is for a person with records to start life anew, it is equally damn hard to be accepted.

And it is because of this acceptance issue, the people that doesn't have a chance to prove their worthiness (b'cos it is not given) will actually lead them back to crime. I know everyone will have their past and some may not be as pleasant as one would like it to be, so does that mean this person is a no hope? Yes, they did break the law but one has to recognize the fact that they had already paid their dues. So let's have a little decent compassion and think for them. What is the past remains as the past, let's look forward and move on from there.

Remember Christ came for the sinners....
