Places to Put Back Links

Previously I wrote about Back Links telling you that back links were basically links that are on other websites that points to your blog or website. The more back links you have the higher ranking you’re blog or website will have with search engines.

I mentioned sites that you can use like writing articles for other companies that you could put your link in, member of groups, social sites, forums and don’t forget your friends.

Well after I wrote the article an individual contacted me and wanted some suggestions of sites. So I thought I’d give a list of some places that you can get involved with that can offer you some back links in which will bring you more traffic to your site.

1. Search Engines – Google, Yahoo, IceRocket, weblogs.com, feedburner.com, technorati. These are just a few. If you do a search for “Blog Listing” you will find a lot. The supply is never ending!
2. Don’t forget your friends and family. If any of them has a blog or website ask them to put a link on their site even if it doesn’t have anything to do with your sites topic. You will be surprised how many people click on things that don’t even pertain to the topic they are looking at.
3. Submit your page of your site to traffic exchange site. Now I wouldn’t do very many because you have to make sure you are viewing sites in order for your site to be viewed by others. The best one to use is Trafficswarm in my opinion. I have been using them for years; it’s the only one I use but there are lots of these, like
Blogsoldiers and Jewelstrafficexchange.

4. Social site are another way of creating back links. There is hundreds out there hear is just a few that I recommend: Gather.com, BloggerParty.com, these you have to write something and post it plus you can reply back by leaving comments. MyBlogLog.com is a great site. Your feed is set up so you don’t have to do anything unless you want to message someone, join a group or added someone to your contacts. Blogcatalog.com is set up the same way. All you have to do is just look around, social sites are popping up all over the place.
5. Another great thing to do is take sometime and read other peoples blogs and website. Leave comments with your link. Leaving your link on higher page ranking sites will bring you traffic.

There are so many places that you can get back links from that there would be no way I could every tell you all. The longer you work online, visit sites, submit your site to different categories the more and more back links you will have.
