My job requires me to wear a headset since I deal with a large volume of calls on a regular basis. I wear the headset for about 38 hours a week, but sometimes more. The only problem I've experienced is that I sometimes feel like I am still wearing the headset all day long, and it makes my ear hurt, even though I took the headset off hours ago.

Similar things have been reported by amputees. This is called phantom limb pain. Even though the limb is gone, the person can still feel a tingling or pain, as if the limb were still there. That is why it is referred to as "phantom" because it is like a ghost.

In other news, today I got to leave work an hour early:) I didn't mind staying, but my ear was hurting, so I accepted the offer to leave.

I'm glad my parents got home early last night. My dad was here to take me to work today in the snow. My car never would have made it. My grandparents have no power in their house as of last night, so they are staying here tonight.
