They have to steal for their living.

Even non-vegetarians love pets. They feed them well, get them medical care, arrange comfortable beds, take them for an outing etc. There is "I" and "My" element.

Jain Sect in India practises non-violence. No injury even to ants. Some even sweep floor before walking lest the ants should die under their feat.

STRAY CATS

As pets, cats are not as popular as dogs. They do not eat anything vegetarian. Milk is out of reach of poor humans. How can they feed cats?

Cats sneak into kitchens and steal milk. Whether they like it are not, this is a must. Householders shout at them "chei! chei! chii! chii! " and treat them to profanities.

FEMALE CATS

A female cat's life is more miserable. When she is pregnant, she will not be able to move quickly to and from the kitchen during the stealing operation and consequently may get beaten up mercilessly. Especially, when some object like a wooden pounding pestle or a vegetable cutter thrown by the house holder at it hits its womb, the suffering will be utmost. Strangely, a woman who throws the weapon herself may be pregnant and yet may not bother about the pains of the pregnant cat.
