Parent's Standards for kids may be too much....

Many people envy that smart kid that gets good grades. They start out as the nerds that other people pick on, but then they find out that they are the people that are going to succeed in life. But what some people don't realize is that there could be a dangerous life that they are hiding from us all.

Everyone knows that the smart person is the one who is going to be successful and get the good job with the six figure paycheck. But what some people don't realize is that (from my personal experience along with others I know) there is a secret life that they are hiding.

Students who get good grades, who take all of those AP Classes in High School, and Take all of those units in college have a lot to deal with in their everyday lives. Many of us don't recognize this though because we only see the successful side of them and don't realize their main weakness.

Their main weakness is all of the work that they have to do. Many students every day are resorting to insane amounts of hours for homeowrk just satisfy not their peers but their parents. They resort to things like Cutting, Caffene pills, and maybe even suicide to deal with their stress.

Parents need to lay off of the stress...

How many of you guys have dealed with this, even if it's not to the extreme???

Yep that student was me. I'm now in my fourth year of University and about halfway through my second year I kind of burned out. Now I pull Bs and As instead of insanely high intense everything. Achieving can be such a high... but it is a lot of stress. I had to let go of a lot of friends who really just never understood (or cared to, I guess).
