Some douchebag with a video camera walks up to a Obama supporter and attempts to embarrass him by drilling him with questions he assumes the supporter will not be able to answer.
What takes place is the exact opposite. Watch as the supporter serves up a dish of ownage to said douchebag.
I love intelligent people. Thank god for this young man and those who use their minds as well as he does

Was it an ambush? Yes. Was he looking to embarrass the kid? Doubtful. What I saw on the video was a guy/cynic expecting to see another youth who hasn't a clue about why he's supporting a candidate. And, as it went on you can clearly hear how pleased the man is with the answers. So, it's not fair at all that he assumed the kid wouldn't know what he's talking about, but equally unfair to say the guy's a douchebag. After all, isn't that his video clip????? It's obviously not the kids. So, if he really wanted to make Obama's supporters look stupid, he wouldn't have posted it.

I guess you told me. The reason I called him a doucebag is because of his attitude at the beginning of the video. It's obvious that he goes into the situation assuming that this kid won't know his ass from a hole in the ground.
However, it's obvious as the interview goes on and it becomes apparent that the kid has a clue that, yes, the guy's attitude changes. Now, whether or not he was truly glad to find someone who'd done their homework or he was just trying not to look like a complete ass is questionable. Also, you can hear him try to spin the questions to trip the kid up.
He doesn't just go after Obama supporters. He has gone after Hillary supporters as well. I wasn't trying to imply that he was only going after Obama supporters. It just so happens that this video involved a Obama supporter.

Ya, it is obvious that he went into it assuming the kid won't know anything. But, trying to keep from looking like an asshole is not the impression I got. If you recall, the guy even says - "That's what I was arguing for in the 80's! Why has it taken this long to see happen?". He seemed genuinely engaged and impressed by the kid and also like he'd found the kind of interview he'd been looking for - especially if he's been doing this with other supporters. Hell, he took the time to shake the kids hand and ask his name in order to give him more credit.
Sorry, if he'd taken it to a bad place dispite the kids well informed answers, I'd agree with you. It's not a fair way to approach someone or right to assume, but I've also heard WAY TOO MANY people publicly say "I'm voting for Obama because he's black" and "I'm voting for Hillary because she's a woman". So, even though I don't agree with anyone being ambushed, I still kinda get where the frustration is coming from. And, by posting that clip, the guy himself may just inspire viewers to take a closer look at their own choices.

only hope that it would inspire others to really understand who they are voting for, but I doubt that will happen.
I can go on and on about the points you are making concerning this guy's attitude changing during the interview. It just seemed to me that he was trying to bow out gracefully cause the kid knew his stuff.
However, in a different video, where he goes after a Hillary supporter, he ends up making the guy look like an ass because he doesn't know his stuff and it gets to the point where the Hillary supporter asks him to go and talk to someone else cause the guy won't leave him alone. Although the the supporter was a dipshit, there was no reason for this guy to continue his questioning when it became obvious the supporter couldn't answer. That's another reason I called him a douchebag.

that it's not a fair approach. And, since I didn't see his other "victims" and their treatment I can only go off of this one.
But, even if only one person is inspired by that kid, it's a start. One thing I REALLY liked had nothing to do with the campain! When the kid talked about his dad being a doctor and his understanding of how insurance and malpractice insurance works. That goes to show a parent who actually talks to and educates his kids! Now, that's something I wish parents would take from the clip!
