Ovulation

One year after finishing birth control pills I have finally ovulated.
Me and my husband started trying to conceive a year ago and we thought it would be easy like everyone does but a year after finishing birth control pills I have finally just ovulated for the first time.
Whilst trying to conceive if you don't have regular cycles like me you spend most of your time just wishing to ovulate. Sometimes even 6 months go by and you finally get your period but no ovulation.
Well on Saturday for some strange reason I decided to take an Ovulation Predictor test (OPK). I don't know why I decided to take it but I did. For the first time ever it came up positive. Me and my husband were jumping up and down screaming. Quite funny if you think that we were jumping up and down over some pee on a stick.
We did another opk later in the evening and yet again it was positive.
The problem is after so long waiting for it to happen once it finally does you just can't help but not believe it.
Now I want to believe it more than anything but I just can't. Why now? Why after one full year have I just ovulated? Is it really possible?
The thing is we have just been for our first appointment at a fertility clinic and are due to start treatment in July so it just seems impossible that after all this time just out of the blue I ovulate.
The stranger thing is that my test date is actually on mine and my husbands first year wedding anniversary. How strange is that? Could it be fate?
I had finally calmed down about trying to conceive. Tryed to take my mind off of it and think of other things and then this happens.
It is absolutely brilliant because you can't get pregnant without ovulating but what if it isn't. Even worse what if I ovulate this month, don't get pregnant and have to wait another year to ovulate again.
I have been charting my temperatures every day since I got the positive but the problem is I don't seem to be able to sleep in till the same time I used to to normally temp. Normally I do my temperature at 6am but now I can only sleep in till 4 am. Fair enough my temperatures have gone through the roof. They are a lot higher than usual which does indicate ovulation but could that just be because I have taken it earlier. Could it be because the weather is hotter. The thing is that doing the temperature earlier shouldn't matter as your temperature is meant to go up the later it gets. But what if it is different with me? What if my temperature goes down?
Then there is the weather subject. It shouldn't matter should it because the room isn't any different in temperature so my temperature shouldn't of gone up that much.
Then there is the fact of my breasts. Every time before I have my period my nipples get very sore. I am constantly feeling them to make sure that they hurt which they are doing most of the time. The problem is are they only hurting because I am constantly poking them all the time?
Now so many questions going through my head. I have just under two weeks to wait now. All my questions will be answered if I have my period then yes I ovulated. If I get a positive pregnancy test then yes I ovulated. But what if I don't then this cycle will just carry on again. Please let it be ovulation and let me get my positive on this pregnancy test me and my husband want so badly.
