Out-of-the-Box Ways to Profit as a Content Producer

I'd like to share a new income stream I've been working with:

Now, even if you do not enjoy writing, keep reading for some alterative (out-of-the-box!) ways to make money with AC!

First, though, with AC, you can submit articles for online publishing in different ways:

For each choice, you can give exclusive rights to AC, meaning you cannot use the material in any other way, ever again. Or, you can choose non-exclusive rights, which means you can also publish the material in as many other ways as you want to, such as submitting to other non-exclusive rights sources, or on your own web sites, blogs, Squidoo lenses, and so forth.

You can submit articles for no payment. After your first three articles go through an approval process, further articles you submit for no payment will be published just about instantly on AC.

OR -- and this is the best part -- you can submit for payment and earn an average from $3 to $20 each.

I just signed up about a month ago, and have taken it a bit slowly to test it out. I intend to ramp up my work with AC from this point forward.

So far, I've submitted 12 articles for payment that I've received offers on, and the lowest offers for me so far were actually $2.74 and $2.75 on the subject of spiritual healing, which I guess are not that popular with the AC crowd!

I was so discouraged that I almost wanted to quit, but then I received offers on my very next two articles for $10 each! They were about wedding gowns, which was a suggested topic in the weekly topic suggestions AC newsletter....

What I've learned from that is to pay attention to the weekly topic suggestions and write on those or as closely related subjects as possible from now on.

There is a very active members forum where I took time to read a great many posts to learn from the experience of others, plus there are FAQ's, a getting started guide, and so forth, including links to articles that members have written on how to make more money with AC. You can even do movie reviews, which some members reported seem to get good offers.

NOTE: In addition to getting paid to write articles, you can also get paid for submitting videos and audios.

I have not found any just plain audios yet, personally, but I have not looked very hard... however, people are having videos published on remarkably simple things -- like basic "how to" do things I never would have thought of, and it appears to still be a wide-open field.

I also noticed a few comments in the forum to the effect videos get reviewed faster, leading to quicker offers and publishing. I intend to learn how to make a few videos of my own, but for now I'm doing articles.

I am sticking with using the non-exclusive rights option, because I did try the exclusive rights option on two articles, but I did not find that it produced an offer that seemed an amount greater than my non-exclusive articles to warrant giving away all my rights.

Since I also publish web sites, I'll recycle my articles either on my own sites or submit them to article directories to drive traffic to my sites.

Note that if you do not publish web sites, you can also use articles to promote affiliate products directly. Be careful to read the terms of service of any free article directory you use, because some them do not allow affiliate links directly to an affiliate site. EzineArticles.com is one like that, although it is a very popular article directory. However, SearchWarp.com DOES allow direct linking to affiliate sites.

(A work around would be to create a landing page on a free resource such as www.Blogger.com or something similar, and you can link from your article to the landing page, which then links to the affiliate site.)

Now here is one more radical idea that I learned about from Travis, the creator of Bum Marketing -- http://www.bummarketingmethod.com (which is a wonderful course, by the way)....

He sent an email to his list (which I'm on) about trying AC for the first time. He actually paid a GHOSTWRITER to write an article for about $5 (where he then owns the total rights to the article), and he submitted it to AC as the author. AC paid him $11 for it, so he made a nice profit!

Of course, note that you need to get paid more by AC than you pay a ghostwriter in order to earn a profit, so the writing quality and subject matter of your ghostwritten articles are extremely important....

Still, it's a possibly lucrative idea for people who do not enjoy writing themselves, if they can find an affordable source of ghostwritten articles and can research the subject matter that AC will offer enough for in order to make a profit.

They have a referral program that promises to pay $3 for each referral that actually gets published. To be honest, though, in the members' forum, there were a few posts about people not receiving payment for their referrals, so I am not counting on it, personally.

However, just in case, if you do join, I'd really appreciate you using my link!

Wishing you all the best...

I've been a member at AC for a while but stopped posting. I learned that if you write an article for Bum Marketing, you can post it for payment as nonexclusive on AC.
