Our First Month Overview and Upcoming Changes

Blogger Party launched on January 1, 2006. It's been a month now and we're doing pretty well. It takes most sites a lot longer to generate the kind of traffic we get. I thought I'd share some stats with you guys.

We had 13076 visitors this month.

We had 414838 page hits this month.

Google has 13,900 Blogger Party pages indexed. Enter site:bloggerparty.com in a Google search to see which ones.

We're doing pretty good and the real marketing hasn't even begun yet.

Upcoming changes:

The biggest change is that we're moving. I know some people have been reporting problems accessing the website and getting errors. A lot of this has been caused by the crappy hosting we have. We're moving to our own server - hooray! This should take place within a week or two. I don't expect more than an hour or two of downtime, but we'll see.

Upcoming changes to the site include the addition of being able to select your own personal theme for your blog. That way, anytime somebody goes to your blog, your theme will show. Neat-o!

Improved profile pages, including your own image gallery. Right now the "my account" section is pretty basic and drab. That will be getting a big makeover with some additional features.

A bookmarks or blogroll function. Still working on the details of this one.

Basically, we're looking to give Blogger Party all the features your average blogging community has. More choices, more control. The most important thing, though, is what would you, our wonderful members, like to see?
