Our Ever Changing World

Change is the law of life, those who look to the past and present are certain to miss the future."- John F. Kennedy

We live in changing times and a changing world. Our lives are changing with every passing moment. Change occurs so often that it’s sometimes all we can do to keep our eyes focused. Some of us deal with change better than others. I'd always wished life would stand still. So I could spend more time just enjoying the moments I was in. Or that time travel was possible so that I could change the past. I wished I could undo the mistakes I've said or say something or say something that I should of. I don't like change, I am downright fearful of it especially when it all seems to come at once. I don't deal well with change. I want to make myself believe that we are better off without it.

Through life we learn that change can be our best friend or our worst enemy. It all depends on how well we learn to adapt and accept the change that occurs. Life cannot be life without change. We learn that change comes in all sizes from a new city, living the same place all your life, new ideas, the same old ideas, the birth of a child, the death of a parent. Change is about opposites, uniqueness and differences. No two people will ever experience the same change in the same way. Our experiences are drawn upon by our perspectives, personal experiences, thoughts and emotions. No two eyes will ever see the same situations with the same hindsight. It's what makes our lives so unique and interesting. In the past few years my opinions about change have changed. I've become more open and accepting, it’s just taken a lot of time and frustration. Changes will always exist who and wherever you are. But the interaction with the change is what determines the outcome.

Life is about change and that’s a great thing. But here's a question for you, is the world changing you or are you changing the world?
