Osama's Pal Jandal Cracks CBS's Simon on '60 Minutes'

Abu Jandal, Osama bin Laden's former bodyguard, was chilling in his answers to 60 Minutes' Bob Simon
on Sunday.
But the real chiller came at the very end when it was casually evident that Jandal had already programmed his young son Habib to be a martyr for the Islamic cause.
He said that Simon would never let his daughter in the U.S. become martyred for the American cause, and Simon admitted as much. He was right.
"And that's the difference between you and me," was all Simon could utter. End of report.
That very phrase could mean the end of us. It was clear who won that interview, and who won over the audience. It was Abu Jandal. The problem is that the Islamists currently cutting up our troops in Iraq are cold and calculating about it, already feel they have died for the cause and coolly go about their business.
No emotion. Just action.
We're going to have to learn how to do that -- or lose the struggle.

Americans, welcome to Imperial Rome
Remember: Rome fell.
Are you...
back on revolution or are the barbarians on our borders?
Barbarians
Who came to Rome's borders, and the Romans had so screwed themselves that they could no longer fight them off. End of Roman empire. Anyone with two good ears had better listen! :)
I Disagree
What would u wish instead? I would certainly prefer ROME to some taliban islamic aggrupation of "states" wherein I would have to put a veil and my kid brother would dream of 72 virgins..... ummm.... if someone is like NERO, it ain't Bush, despite my lunatic republican email pal!
I understood the reference...
I just wanted to know if you really meant the full progression on that reference or if you were back quietly pushing revolution. :P
